Colin Sinclair is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound wide receiver and cornerback
from Santa Fe Christian. He was first-team All-Coastal League,
San Diego Union-Tribune Scholar-Athlete, and an All-CIF selection
for Outstanding Academic Achievement in football, basketball and
baseball. He received the Coca Cola Golden Helmet Award for Most
Valuable Player. He received the Presidential Physical Fitness
Award, and was Eagle of the Year. He also received the San Diego
County CIF Sportsmanship/Citizenship Award in 1999 and 2000. Sinclair
was also captain of his school's football team for two years.
During last year's football season, he caught 51 passes for 1,050
yards and nine touchdowns in nine games.
With a 3.90 grade point average, Sinclair is considering Baylor
University as a walk-on in football, among others. He is undecided
about his major. On campus, he was a member of the Seacoast Church
Youth Group, Key Club and was California Scholarship Federation
Gold Seal Bearer. He was sports editor of the school newspaper
from 1998-2000, and was Senior Homecoming Prince last year. His
special interests included tutoring Hispanic students in math,
English and history, hanging out with friends and taking care
of his brother and sister while his mother attends law school.
He is the son of James and Cynthia Sinclair of Carlsbad.
