Will Scott

Hoover High School

Running Back, Defensive Back

Will Scott is a 5-foot-9, 190-pound running back and defensive back from Hoover High School. He was named first-team All-CIF in 1999 and 2000, and was named All-Harbor League three times. He was All-County in 1999 and 2000. Scott was his team's Most Valuable Player on Defense in 1998 and received the Hardest Hitter Award in 2000. He won the Defensive Most Valuable Player Award at the Martin Bayless Camp and was ranked number 59 in Rivals 100. He was the NFL Hall of Champions Player of the week in 1998. His coach, Willie Matson said, “Will is one of the hardest working, determined students I have ever been around. Besides competing in football and track, Will sometimes has held down two jobs at one time, often not getting home from work until well after midnight. His attendance record is near perfect and he doesn't just come to school, he comes to school prepared. As hard as Will works on the field, he works harder in the classroom.”
With a 3.5 grade point average, Scott plans to attend the University of California at Berkeley. Scott lists his primary hobby as the weight room. He is the son of Marsha Thomas of San Diego.
