Eric Richards is a 6-foot-1, 260-pound offensive left tackle
for La Jolla High School. He was an All-Western League selection
two years in a row and was named to the San Diego Union-Tribune
All-Academic Team for two consecutive years. He received his team's
Hog of the Year award as the outstanding lineman.
Richards received two varsity letters in football and two in varsity
wrestling. He is a first-degree Black Belt in Tae Chun Do.
With a 4.06 grade point average, Richards was active on campus
and worked on his school's science fair. He was president of the
California State Society, Children of the American Revolution.
He was also a member of the California Scholarship Federation,
an AP Scholar with distinction, a member of the Cum Laude Society
and a National Merit finalist. Richard is undecided as to the
college he will attend, but plans to major in economics. He lists
his hobbies as weight lifting and playing video games. He is the
son of Kurt and Deva Richards of La Jolla.
