Running Back, Strong Safety

Steve Jensen is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back and strong safety from The Bishop's School. He was CIF Division IV Offensive Player of the Year, Coastal League Offensive Player of the Year, first-team All-CIF, first-team All-Coastal League as a running back, and second-team All-Coastal League and second-team All-San Diego County as a defensive back. Jensen was the leading rusher for San Diego County last year with 2,468 yards. He was his junior varsity football team captain in 1997, and varsity captain in 1999 and 2000. He was elected Most Valuable Junior Varsity Player in 1997 and varsity performer in 2000. He was his team's Most Valuable Player on defense in 1998, and was his team's Most Valuable Player on offense in 1999 and 2000. He holds the San Diego County kickoff return record with a 99-yard return in 1999. Jensen received three letters in varsity football and two letters in varsity soccer, with two in track and field.
He carried a 3.0 grade point average and was voted the Most Athletic at The Bishop's School by his classmates. Jensen is undecided as to the college he will attend, but plans to major in business. Jensen lists his hobbies as all sports, including surfing and snowboarding. He is the son of Tom and Teri Jensen of Rancho Santa Fe.
