Zach Gorham is a 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle from El
Capitan High School. He was All-CIF, All-Grossmont North League
and Honorable Mention All-State. He was first-team All-Grossmont
North League in 1999, and was a member of the San Diego Union-Tribune's
All-Academic team in 1999 and 2000. Gorham was captain of both
his football and wrestling teams. He received two letters in varsity
football and three in wrestling. In wrestling, he was first-team
All-Grossmont North League Heavy Weight Wrestler in 1999-2000
and CIF Division II second-place Heavy Weight.
With a 3.25 grade point average, he plans to attend the University
of Nevada at Las Vegas. On campus, Gorham is his school's delegate
to Future Farmers of America, is Sagebrush 4-H vice president,
and Eastern San Diego County Junior Livestock Fairboard secretary.
He was FFA sentinel in 1999 and 2000, and vice president in 2000
and 2001. He received a California State Farmer degree in 2000.
He lists his special interest as livestock. Gorham is the son
of Matthew and Renee Gorham of Lakeside.
