Michael Bass is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver and free safety from Santana High School. He was All-Grossmont North League as a wide receiver for two years. He was second team All-CIF and All-State as a junior. Bass had 48 catches in seven games, less than the previous year, because he also had to play quarterback and running back for his team. In 1999, he had 61 catches. Bass was a pitcher for his school in baseball and was Grossmont North Player of the Year in 2000.
Bass holds a 4.1 grade point average and was listed on his school's Honor Roll every semester throughout high school. He was Commissioner of Assemblies at Santana. Bass lists his hobbies as snowboarding and spending time with this family. He is the son of Bart and Darcy Bass of Santee.
